As spring settles in, Knife Steakhouse in Plano has rolled out a new lineup of seasonal cocktails that are anything but ordinary. The limited-time menu, available now, introduces four fresh creations aimed at making the most of the warmer days ahead.
What to Expect
Crafted by Knife’s bar team, the spring offerings include:
- In bloom – A smoky-meets-tropical mix of mezcal, tequila, pineapple juice and lime, served in an absinthe-rinsed glass. Not your average spring fling.
- Umit’s mule – A bolder, bourbon-forward take on the classic mule, balanced with aromatic bitters.
- Monk’s sabbatical – Diplo rum, green Chartreuse, Averna and falernum stirred into a drink that tastes like a monk’s secret vacation recipe.
- Fresa – A sweet, citrusy blend of tequila blanco, lime, syrup and fresh strawberries — a crowd-pleaser that practically calls for a patio.
Each cocktail is designed to capture the flavor of the season without trying too hard. No over-the-top garnishes or flaming sprigs of rosemary — just smart combinations of quality spirits and fresh ingredients.
More Than Just Cocktails
Knife Plano has built its reputation on bold steaks, dry-aged in-house and prepared under the watchful eye of Michelin-starred chef John Tesar. But the cocktail program doesn’t just ride on the coattails of the meat. The seasonal menu keeps things interesting for returning guests and offers new reasons to pull up a bar stool.
As Local Profile previously reported, Knife Plano is one of the few bright spots still holding strong at The Shops at Willow Bend. While much of the mall has seen tenants come and go, Knife has built a loyal following thanks to its serious approach to steak and no-nonsense hospitality.
Raising the Bar
The bar program follows the same philosophy: quality over gimmicks, flavor over flash. These seasonal cocktails aren’t about chasing trends — they’re just another reason Knife keeps guests coming back, even when the mall itself feels like a ghost town. That’s the power of a restaurant that knows exactly who it is and why it’s still worth the trip.
Guests can enjoy the spring cocktails Tuesday through Sunday during regular operating hours. No special event or reservation is required — just walk in and grab a seat.
Because sometimes, all you need is a well-made drink and a reason to say, “Make it a double.”
