DFW Restaurant Week Raised Over $500,000 For North Texas Charities

During the summer of 2023, North Texans dined out for a purpose during DFW Restaurant Week, resulting in charitable donations totaling $545,128. These funds support the North Texas Food Bank (NTFB) and Lena Pope.

In 2023, DFW Restaurant Week achieved a fundraising total of $545,128, with $360,203 benefiting NTFB and $184,925 aiding Lena Pope. Over 100 restaurants spanning Dallas, Tarrant, Collin, and Denton counties joined forces to make this accomplishment possible.

Over 125 restaurants across North Texas participated in DFW Restaurant Week, each contributing 20% of the price of every prix fixe lunch or dinner sold. In Dallas, participating restaurants raised $360,203 in support of NTFB, while establishments in the Tarrant area generated $184,925 to aid Lena Pope in Fort Worth.

“Thanks to the generous support of the community who have participated in DFW Restaurant Week over the last 27 years, the North Texas Food Bank and our feeding partners have been able to provide over 34 million nutritious meals to those facing hunger in North Texas,” said NTFB President and CEO Trisha Cunningham in an official statement. “We are so grateful for those who support the annual event, including the many restaurants. These partnerships are a critical component of our efforts, and we could not meet the growing demand for our services without it.”

DFW Restaurant Week, the nation's second-longest-running restaurant week campaign, also announced the 2023 Star Restaurants including Chamberlains Steak & Fish, Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse, Nick & Sam’s, Ebesu Robata & Sushi and more.

Dea Dallas was honored with the DFW Restaurant Week 2023 Star Restaurant Newbie of the Year award. This inaugural participant showcased exceptional enthusiasm and dedication to Restaurant Week and the charity partner Lena Pope in the Tarrant area throughout the 2023 event.
