Celina, Texas To Get Its First Whataburger

Whataburger has officially made its way to Celina, Texas. The city’s first Whataburger is set to open on Sept. 17, 2024.

If great burgers aren’t enough, the first guests in both the drive-thru lane and the dining room line will win free Whataburger for a year. Additionally, the next 100 customers will receive an exclusive Whataburger Celina t-shirt.

The restaurant, opening at 11 a.m., will be operated by partner Jay Winter. He will lead the Whataburger team of 80 local employees. Whataburger is seeking talented restaurant team members to deliver an exceptional experience to its guests.

Employees, known as Whataburger family members, are paid weekly and benefit from flexible schedules, with locations open 24/7. Every employee participates in a comprehensive training program designed to support career advancement.

Managers have the potential to earn up to $60,000 annually, depending on market and performance. Operating partners average six-figure earnings, including bonuses of up to 150% of their target incentive. Both managers and operating partners receive competitive health, dental, and vision insurance, paid vacation, and 401(k) benefits.

Additionally, all Whataburger family members and their dependents are eligible for college scholarships through the Whataburger Family Foundation.

Harmon Dobson served Whataburger’s first customer in 1950. Headquartered in San Antonio, the company has remained close to its roots while growing to generate more than $3 billion in annual sales across a 16-state footprint with over 1,000 restaurants.
