While many companies are choosing North Texas as a prime destination for relocation, some local businesses are so deeply invested in the region that they decide to stay close to home — just a few miles down the road in fact.
McKinney-based insurance company Globe Life Inc. recently announced its plans to relocate its corporate headquarters within the city, as part of its ongoing strategy to support growth and further investment in the region.
Globe Life Gets A New Corporate Headquarters
The company, currently located at 3700 S Stonebridge Dr., will acquire 7677 Henneman Way, a 200,000-square-foot, six-story Class AA office building inside the Craig Ranch development, along with two adjacent tracts of developable land. The property was formerly developed as Independent Bank’s headquarters in 2022.
The move enables Globe Life to maintain its strong workforce of over 2,000 employees in McKinney, with future growth anticipated to support the company’s expanding policyholder base.
“This is an exciting announcement for the entire Globe Life family as it reinforces our shared commitment to invest in our employees, to serve our customers and position Globe Life for long-term growth in the DFW marketplace,” Globe Life Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer Jennifer Haworth told Local Profile.
Bigger And Better: New Office Supports Future Growth
The newly acquired building offers modern amenities designed to enhance the workplace experience, including secured parking, a state-of-the-art fitness center, food and beverage stations and a conference center with a capacity of up to 350 people.
The property also features prominent signage visible from the Sam Rayburn Tollway, a high-traffic route with over 109,000 vehicles passing daily.
In addition to the office building, Globe Life will acquire approximately 9.3 acres of land, including an 8-acre tract to the north of the building and a neighboring 1.3-acre tract to the east, which will accommodate future expansion plans.
“We are excited to announce the relocation plans of our corporate headquarters, as they will provide an opportunity to update and modernize our workspace for our valued employees,” Co-Chairman & CEO of Globe Life Matt Darden said in an official statement. “This move represents our commitment to continued growth, our dedication to delivering the highest level of service to our customers, and our investment in the future of Globe Life and our employees.”
