Four New Businesses Moving Into The Shops At Park Lane

Northwood Retail announced that its Dallas-based shopping center, The Shops at Park Lane, will soon be the home to four new retail and dining businesses.

According to the mall management company, Blue Maki, Daiso, Banh Shop and American Girl are all confirmed to be moving into the North Texas shopping center over the course of this year and early 2024.

Blue Maki, which is expected to open sometime later this year, is a new high-end sushi concept founded by The Blue Fish Japanese Restaurants. The restaurant is tapped to move into the 1,628-square-foot space beside VIE Nail Bar. Also opening in late 2023 is Daiso, a variety store that offers unique and affordable Japanese-inspired products. The retailer will be occupying the 8,868-square-foot space next to Bloomingdale’s Across from Saks.

Scheduled to open its doors early next year is Banh Shop, an Asian street food concept that offers such menu items as signature banh mi sandwiches and rice bowls. Once open, the restaurant can be found in the mall next to Spectrum and across from Starbucks.

Finally, American Girl will be moving into a two-story space in early 2024. Known for its wide assortment of signature dolls, American Girl’s new location in The Shops at Park Lane will feature personal shopping, a restaurant, as well as a salon where both dolls and their owners can go for hairstyling, manicures and ear piercings.

Ward Kampf, the president of Northwood Retail, says that the new businesses will all help to further boost the shopping experience for visitors of the Dallas-based shopping center.

“We feel like these new concepts are game changers for The Shops at Park Lane, rounding out our food and retail options and helping us achieve our goal of enhancing the tenant mix for our shoppers, residents and office workers,” said Kampf. "American Girl is iconic and the new flagship store is a perfect fit for Park Lane’s demographics. Daiso is expanding in Texas with its unique, affordable Japanese goods, and we’re pleased the brand is planting a flag at our center. Banh Shop, with its Asian street food, and Blue Maki, with its handroll sushi, are broadening our dining selections.”
