Lava Cantina in The Colony will temporarily close its regular operations starting Jan. 1, 2025, to undergo a thorough renovation of its space. The popular music venue, known for its vibrant atmosphere and live performances, announced the closure on social media, urging fans to catch their end-of-year lineup before the pause. 

With a capacity of 1,800, Lava Cantina hosts hundreds of live shows each year, making it a staple in The Colony’s entertainment scene. The renovation's specifics have not been revealed and the timeline for reopening remains unclear.

Upcoming  Events Before The Pause

According to the announcement, despite the upcoming hiatus, Lava Cantina will still host select private parties and events during the renovation period. The venue's management encourages fans to stay tuned for updates on these gatherings. 

In the meantime, patrons can enjoy a series of performances, including Incognito with Ninety to Nothin and Honcho on December 27 and a New Year’s Eve celebration featuring Back in Black Dallas and Def Leggend on December 31.
