The Wells Fargo Bank of Denton is offering an award of up to $10,000 for information that will help identify the suspect from the Nov. 10 bank robbery. The FBI is currently investigating the bank robbery.

On Nov. 10, a man parked a red Dodge Challenger in front of the Wells Fargo on 601 West University Drive in Denton. The bank is offering up to $10,000 for information leading to the suspect’s identification and arrest. The FBI is not involved in the funding or distribution of the award.

According to The Dallas Express, the suspect waited in the teller line and told the bank teller to take him to the bank’s vault, where he then took cash from the vault and placed it into a black duffel bag. The suspect fled the bank, got back into the same vehicle he arrived in and quickly exited the parking lot.

The suspect was wearing gloves, a black hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled over his head and goggles or a mask, according to the FBI. He was described as approximately 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall with a slender build. The suspect was carrying a black semi-automatic handgun and should be considered armed and dangerous.

This is not the first time a Denton Wells Fargo has been robbed. In Dec. 2018, a man robbed a Wells Fargo as well as a  Chase Bank within three days. The Denton Police investigated the robberies, but did not release information regarding the arrest or identification of the suspect.
