H-E-B sure has been busy lately in North Texas. Not only are they opening several local stores and bringing hundreds of new job opportunities, they’ve also been participating in the community. And now? They are making sure being Texan pays with a new debit card that gives customers an array of benefits, just in time for Frisco’s store grand opening on September 21.
The program provides customers with a debit card that can be used anywhere Mastercard is accepted and acts like a spending card. Using the card to buy H-E-B family brand products will give customers a 5% cash back that would be automatically issued to the customer’s H-E-B debit account.
Although only some items will be eligible for the cash back program, the card is valid for purchases made at H-E-B physical stores and online shopping at heb.com for curbside and home delivery orders. And there’s no small amount of products included in the benefit: you’ll find items from H-E-B, Hill Country Fare, Meal Simple, Field & Future by H-E-B, Home by H-E-B, Kodi, Cocinaware, H-E-B Kitchen & Table, and GTC, among others.
“At H-E-B, we’re always looking to provide Texans more ways to save,” said Ashwin Nathan, H-E-B Group vice president of marketing in an official statement. “With the H-E-B debit card, customers can have a more rewarding shopping experience that allows them to keep more money in their pockets while enjoying valuable benefits and perks.”
Some of those perks include an optional, high-yield savings account with no monthly fees to maintain the account, which offers free cash withdrawals at H-E-B branded ATMs. Customers can also set up direct deposit and get paid two days early from paychecks, income tax returns, Social Security and more.
Right now customers can only apply for the account online by visiting hebdebit.com. Once signed up, customers will receive their new debit card within seven to ten days from approval.
