2020 has been a strange year for restaurant owners, chefs, bar owners, and foodies alike. As one McKinney chef, Local Yocal's Adam West said, in March they were all waiting with baited breath to see what the pandemic would bring. “How long will it take [to reopen]?” he asked as the shutdown began. “No one has the answer. It’s really sobering.”
All in all, 2020 brought changes to culinary culture, from the boom of curbside kits, stocked with enough food for an army--also toilet paper--to the slew of bars reassigning themselves as restaurants to survive.
