Over the past 21 years, Goodwin served on the Executive Board of every Plano ISD PTA/PTSA/PTO at schools that her children attended. She volunteered, and held various positions, multiple times, including President, Treasurer, VP Membership, VP Ways and Means, and on the Audit and Nominating committees. Goodwin is the proud recipient of the Texas PTA Lifetime Membership Award.

Ms. Goodwin’s education includes a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of California, and a Master’s degree in Dispute Resolution from Southern Methodist University. Following her career at EDS Corporation, she founded and served as CEO of her own commercial real estate company.
Goodwin understands the value of education in driving a bright future. She says, “When my father came to this country, he could barely speak English. With hard work and perseverance, he earned a Master’s degree and Ph.D., and went on do research at the USDA for almost 40 years. Education was the key to his success – essential to our family’s success. Every child deserves our investment in their opportunity to reach their full potential.”
