September 20-23
Addison Oktoberfest
Named one of the country’s most authentic Oktoberfest celebrations by Forbes and USA TodayAddison Oktoberfest features four days of family-oriented entertainment. German entertainers in authentic costumes perform traditional Bavarian folk dances, schuhplatten, oompah music, sing-a-longs, yodels and more. A special “Oktoberfest” Paulaner Bier is served along with several types of German sausage, sauerkraut, strudel, giant pretzels and more. There are carnival rides, midway games, and children’s entertainment. Guests can register to dine at the Chamberlain’s Brau Haus for a full service dining experience featuring an exclusive menu.

Plano Balloon Festival
Award-winning three day festival September 21-23, 2018 located in the City of Plano, the official Hot Air Balloon Capital of Texas. The InTouch Credit Union Plano Balloon Festival features 40-50 colorful hot air balloons, live entertainment on two stages, food vendors galore, arts and crafts booths, kids fun zone, corporate exhibitors, parachute team exhibition, and fireworks show presented by Bimbo Bakeries USA. The weekend also includes the Plano Balloon Festival Races: Half Marathon, 10K, 5K and 1K fun run.

Rodeo on the River!
The public can mosey up to The Club at Trinity Falls, for free activities including live music, trick roping, a petting zoo, pony rides, photo opportunities with a live steer and armadillo races. Proceeds from the event benefit ManeGait equine therapy in McKinney.

McKinney Oktoberfest
Dust off your lederhosen and tune up your yodel for this year’s Oktoberfest. McKinney Oktoberfest is a family favorite, offering authentic German music, food and drink, traditional costumes, dancing, children’s activities and much more.

Pumpkin Fest is an annual, family-friendly event for Calloway’s to give back to local communities. Cottonwood Art Festival

Cottonwood Art Festival is a juried show. This year approximately 1,400 artists submitted their work for consideration.The artists compete in 14 categories: 2D Mixed Media, 3D Mixed Media, Ceramics, Digital, Drawings/Pastels, Fiber, Glass, Jewelry, Leather, Metalwork, Painting, Photography, Sculpture and Wood. Cottonwood isn’t just about the art, though. The festival also features local bands who perform the best in rock, country, jazz, blues, swing and folk.

Plano Food & Wine Festival

Day filled with wine tastings, delicious food, live music and shopping! Plano International Festival

Tour the world and improve your wellness at the Plano International Festival. The area’s largest cultural event offers food, fun and entertainment for the whole family. Enjoy multicultural music and dance performances, ethnic food trucks, and cultural displays from over 100 countries. The Children’s Global Village lets kids explore the world through music, STEM activities, crafts, and other fun learning opportunities. Pumpkins, Pinots and Pooches

An evening of ghostly tails awaits you at the Heritage Farmstead Museum.
Join us for an ADULT* evening of Ghostly “Tails” by the spooktacular North 40 Story Tellers, a clean-crafted wine tasting by Scout and Cellar: have your caricature drawn by caricaturist Mark Stokes and enjoy some friendly dog “Tricks and Treats” to include a costume contest, puppy parade, bobbing for apples and dog training in the meadow by Camp Bow Wow.All on the historic grounds of the Heritage Farmstead Museum.

McKinney Fall Festival and Monster Dash 5K

Fall Festival with 2nd annual Cruise-In Car Show
St. Andrew United Methodist Church invites the community to its annual community fall festival on Sunday, October 28, from 5-6:30 p.m., at 5801 W. Plano Parkway. The festival features free fun for the whole family including carnival games, bounce houses, inflatables, and trunk or treat. All children are invited to come in costume. Additionally, the United Methodist Men are hosting the second annual Cruise-In Car Show from 3 – 6:30 p.m. with all proceeds from entrants benefiting The Storehouse of Collin County. For spectators, the car show is free.  For anyone interested in entering a car, registration is from 3-4:30 p.m. with awards at 6:30 p.m.  The registration fee is $20 or $15 with a donation of one bag of canned goods.  Awards include “Best of Show” and “Top Ten.”
