Keyboard Conversations, featuring concert pianist Jeffrey Siegel opens the 2016-2017 Season and marks the 30th Anniversary of the series in the Dallas market with Fiesta – The Glorious Music of Spain and Argentina at the Eisemann Center. Virtuoso pianist and entertaining storyteller Jeffrey Siegel returns to the keyboard in a program that showcases the ardent melodies and incisive rhythms of Spanish and Argentine composers. Popular with piano music lovers and newcomers alike, his unique “concerts with commentary” approach gives the story behind piano works by Albeniz, Granados, deFalla, and Piazolla. Delivered with wit and humor and a deep admiration for the music, Mr. Siegel’s performance will make you fall in love with this intoxicatingly exotic music. An interactive Q and A will conclude this program.
In addition to his solo appearances, Jeffrey Siegel presents Keyboard Conversations®, concerts with lively commentary in an innovative format that differs from traditional recitals and appearances with symphony orchestras. A Keyboard Conversation is a concert with each work on the program performed in its entirety. Mr. Siegel speaks briefly and informally to the audience before performing each composition, illustrating with a few pertinent musical examples from the keyboard.
