Restaurant developers and operations vets Courtney Lindley and Bob Gregg plan to open 15 North Texas locations over the next eight years, but the first opens in Plano. The Plano location is now open near Willow Bend mall at 6100 West Park Blvd. Three other DFW area locations will open later this year in Frisco, Dallas and Irving.

The duo, Gregg and Lindley, have grown other national brands such as Radio Shack, Starbucks and Potbelly Sandwich Shop, and when an opportunity with Slim Chickens came knocking, they answered. For Plano, this means another great chicken option and more jobs. Positives all around.

The down-home Southern brand also offers fresh salads, wraps, chicken and waffles and sides, such as fried mushrooms. On a sweeter note, rotating desserts served in Mason jars are also available.

Slim Chickens’ mantra “Life Changing Chicken” focuses on high-quality chicken, but more importantly how the company runs its business. It works. Since 2003, at the first restaurant’s opening, over 30 locations are successful across nine United States, with plans to reach over 600 locations.
