In the mood for some comedic fundraising? This Saturday event1013 is hosting the George W. Bash, a joke presidential election seeking to raise funds for the Assist the Officer Foundation and the Plano Community Band.

Sponsored by Tupps Brewery, the event takes place in Downtown Plano  and includes comedy, live music, and a dance party fit for a president. Starting at 9 p.m., Dallas comedian Shahyan Jahani will oversee loose Presidential speeches and voting. Dallas musician/group Hella Zealous will play at 10 p.m.

“I’m not sure if this is by design, but it seems that Hella Zealous is trying to be Dallas’ answer to Daft Punk. The duo may not dress up as robots, but they’re definitely bringing that same party ethic to their brand,” said Dallas music critic The Ghost.

Following Hella Zealous, the elected Party President will receive a Big Check worth $5. To attend the George W. Bash, you must donate at least $1.
