The Plano Symphony Orchestra has released the details of its upcoming 2016–2017 subscription series with Conductor Hector Guzman. Dynamic and thrilling, the symphony has built its repertoire from three concerts a year in 1983 to over 25 concerts and 100 other appearances annually.

The 2016–2017 season opens in September with iconic pianist Jorge Federico Osorio for The Three B’s, a Bach, Beethoven and Brahms concert.

Then, October’s Singin’ in the Rain, will be hosted by Gene Kelly’s widow and biographer, Patricia Ward Kelly, and November’s Musical Marvels presents award-winning pianist and graduate of Julliard, Sean Chen.

A long-standing and well-loved tradition featuring nearly 200 musicians, December’s Home for the Holidays returns with the Plano Civic Chorus and Frisco Chorale. Then, ringing in the New Year, The Texas Tenors bring down the house with the Plano Symphony.

For one breathtaking February night, Cirque de la Symphonie features acrobats, aerialists and more to bring new life to the music.

In March, Legendary Greats will showcase Glen Miller and Duke Ellington, along with performances by the winners of the Collin County Young Artist Competition. Finally, the April Grand Finale features violinist Lindsay Deutsch, concluding a captivating season of music.
