The 4,223-square-foot Edoko Sushi & Robata is open! CityLine in Richardson is only the second location, and its first in Fricso was recently named the second best sushi restaurant in DFW by OpenTable.
Take a seat on the patio or inside while you delight in traditional Japanese food items like sashimi, nigiri and robota or more hot plates with western influences, such as green tea chicken with her oil and balsamic reduction, and udon noodles with sake-cream and pork belly. Robota is known for using skewers instead of utensils, although you can use forks or chopsticks, if you choose.
Robota provides creative dishes that stem from a combination of Executive Chef Chikao Kikuchi’s traditional sushi training in Tokyo and his kitchen crew’s French-taught background.
Sip on a craft cocktail from the full-service bar that focuses on fresh seasonal ingredients and includes classics with a twist like the Blue Mule. Or try beers from Japan and Texas breweries, 10 Japanese sakes or one of 50 wines.
Make note: Happy hour is Monday through Friday between 5 p.m. and 6:30 p.m with special pricing on select drinks, sushi and small plates.
