That’s right, summer camps aren’t just for the kids. The Collin County Farm Museum in McKinney, Texas has several creative, crafty and tasty camps for adults throughout summer! Learn to make soap from scratch at the Soap Makers Camp July 11–14.

That’s right, summer camps aren’t just for the kids. The Collin County Farm Museum in McKinney, Texas has several creative, crafty and tasty camps for adults throughout summer!

Learn to make soap from scratch at the Soap Makers Camp July 11–14. Leave the summer camp with four different kinds of soaps you made and can be proud of including, castile, goats milk, shampoo and liquid soaps. Choose a time between 1–4 p.m. or 6–9 p.m. for $100 a person. Deadline to register is this Friday, July 1 by 4 p.m.

Become a Homesteader at the next camp offered at two different sessions. Create a life as if you were living in the 1800s—you’ll learn canning, basketry, candle making and cooking. The first session is offered July 18–21 and the next is from July 25–28; both are available at 1–4 p.m. or 6–9 p.m. for $100 a person. Deadline to register is this Friday, July 1 by 4 p.m.

Now for a personal favorite, CHEESE Makers Camp, August 1–4. You get to eat throughout this one. Feta, creamy, marscapone and provolone, oh my! Be the cheese whiz (and maker) you’ve always wanted to be. Choose a time between 1–4 p.m. or 6–9 p.m. for $100 a person. Deadline to register is Wednesday, July 20 by 4 p.m.
