25 Years of Expansion, Innovation & Healing

Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano

Today a 366-bed acute care hospital and recognized clinical program leader, the Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano opened in January 1991, and has not stopped growing!

Over the years additions and expansions have included a $1 million expansion of their labor and delivery unit; an $86 million building project, which doubled the size of the hospital’s campus; a Level II NICU with 18 beds; a $130 million expansion, adding 160 beds including 26 critical care beds, 45 bed Level IIIb NICU as well as the largest emergency department in Collin County; a new Scoliosis & Spine Tumor Center; electrophysiology lab in the Texas Health Plano Heart & Vascular Center; as well as a $25.4 million perioperative services expansion, including four new operating rooms designed specifically for orthopedic surgery, and a fifth for scoliosis and spine surgery. Meanwhile in February this year the hospital broke ground on an operating room expansion of an additional 5 operating rooms and 3rd endoscopy suite, a $25 million project.

That’s quite the legacy and certainly a good reason to celebrate!
