Devised by Sue Birch, Old Time Music Hall opens at 8 p.m. on Friday, June 24 at the Cox Playhouse, 1517 H Avenue, Plano TX 75074 and will run through July 17. A great excuse for a fabulous night out in Downtown Plano this summer!

Old Time Music Hall is a variety show and provides good, old-fashioned entertainment with songs, sketches, skits and novelties. The Chairman, an emcee, presides over the entertainment. Using a gavel and an archaic mode of speech laced with hyperbole and alliteration, he introduces each act and guides the audience through the evening.

Music Hall was the most popular entertainment for ordinary British people from around 1860 through to World War II, with its heyday around World War I.

The same format as last year’s Old Time Music Hall, but an all-new show.

Devised and directed by Sue Birch and with musical direction by Pam Holcomb-McLain, Old Time Music Hall features Bryan Brooks, Caitlin Duree, Kyle Hancock, Jenilee Joan, Jackie L Kemp, Jill Lightfoot, Alissa McCaffrey, Lola McClendon, Elizabeth McWhorter, Johanna Nchekwube and Kendall Whitman. Also featuring a performance on the harp by Patsy M. Sadowski. Set design by Bradley Gray, lighting design by Bart McGeehon, costume design by Barbara Cox and wig and hair design by Don Hall.
