Baylor Scott&White Medical Center – Frisco is the proud presenting sponsor for the Heroes Celebrity Baseball Game set for Friday, June 10 at Frisco Roughriders’ Dr Pepper ballpark.

Dallas Mavericks’ notable German player Dirk Nowitzki teamed up, once again, with the nonprofit Heroes Foundation to put on the highly sought-after family-fun event of the summer with over 50 celebrities!

Dirk Nowitzki’s 2016 Celebrity Baseball Game will benefit the children’s charities of the Dirk Nowitzki Foundation and Heroes Foundation.

The two-part event begins with festivities and a Heroes Special Olympics All-Star Softball Game at 5:15 p.m. followed by the Heroes Celebrity Baseball Game at 7 p.m. as the Blue Sox and White Sox all-stars and amateurs vie for the game trophy, bragging rights and the coveted MVP award. Between innings, game goers can enjoy stunts, interactive activities and other family-fun crowd pleasers. From 3-6:30 p.m. outside the ballpark, the CBS RADIO DFW Fan Fest will feature a bounce house, inflatable football toss, games, giveaways and more.

Nationally acclaimed singer, songwriter and Broadway performer Shayna Steele will perform the National Anthem. Concluding the night will be a 10-minute post-game fireworks show, presented by Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Frisco.

“I was very fortunate to be able to realize my dream and become a professional athlete. With my experiences in sports, I learned that you have to work hard to reach your goal. But many children around the world need help to even have a chance to enhance their lives and to realize their dreams. With the Dirk Nowitzki Foundation I want to help provide education, health and well being for these children and to make a difference in their lives,” said Dirk Nowitzki on his website swish41.com.
