Update 5/20/2016: Night Out on 15th has been postponed until Sunday, June 5 due to rain in the forecast this Sunday.  Apologies for any inconvenience. Good news! There are still open spots, buy your tickets here.

Downtown Plano’s fine dining experience is only a few weeks away from taking over 15th Street! Plano Profile is the proud media sponsor of Night Out on 15th, and we are excited to announce the nonprofit partner Café Momentum!

The outdoor event will be dishing up lots of fun on May 22 featuring a 300-foot-long table setup in the middle of 15th Street in downtown. Attendees will be able to dance to live music, enjoy a plated dinner paired with craft cocktails, beer and wine.

Students from Café Momentum, a restaurant and culinary training facility, will work in conjunction with Downtown Plano Arts District chefs from the various restaurants catering the event. They will help prepare and serve a five-course meal. A portion of the event’s proceeds will benefit Café Momentum’s internship training.

“Night Out on 15th is the kind of event that brings us all together around one table for one evening,” says Alex Hargis, the Executive Director for the Historic Downtown Plano Association. “We find this event brews the  collaborative spirit in everyone, from the downtown chefs to organizations like the Downtown Arts District and Café Momentum. Their program is changing lives through the passion of cooking and serving others, and we want to share that movement with the people of Plano.”

The nonprofit, Café Momentum, aims to transform at-risk youth’s lives by providing a positive environment through culinary, job and life-skills training. During the program, they are rotated between all levels of a service industry job, from waiting tables to washing dishes to working directly with established chefs. Continued mentorship and support give these young adults the full potential they need to succeed.

Prior to  the seated dinner, enjoy cocktails, including TX Whiskey and Deep Eddy Vodka, at the newly reopened McCall Plaza and live music by the Plano Symphony Orchestra. Post-dinner, dip into dessert served in a whiskey-cigar lounge sponsored by Woodford Reserve and Lone Star Cigar in Downtown Plano.

Purchase your early bird tickets for $125 through May 13, or for $150 after the specified date. For tickets and more information, please click here.
