Bates Wellness & Aesthetic held a grand opening event April 20 at their new building with a a beautiful look and several new offerings! Over 200 guests stopped by between the hours of 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to check it out.
The owner, Dr. Rosemary Bates, opened the event to the public. Ladies and gentleman ranging from 5–85 years of age were in attendance.
Here’s how the night went…
I walked up to the front door on a red carpet, already feeling like a celebrity. I was greeted by friendly staff and was asked for my autograph for a raffle prize (worth up to hundreds of dollars, I must add). Tasty bites, wine and beer were placed on a nice table spread.
A “Hail Mary” football signed by Drew Pearson and Roger Staubach and a signed copy of the”Hail Mary” book by former Dallas Cowboys receiver Drew Pearson were two items up featured as raffle prizes. Drew was at the event, too! He autographed pictures of himself in different action shots wearing his #88 jersey; he took pictures with us; he even let us wear his 1978 Super Bowl Champ ring. Back to Bates Wellness & Aesthetic…
All of Dr. Bates offerings were also raffle prize options. Each patient room in the office had a knowledgeable rep speaking about the offerings:
Fat reduction treatment – CoolSculpting: The only FDA-cleared, non-surgical fat reduction treatment that actually destroy trouble spots using controlled cooling and permanently eliminate fat cells in those stubborn fat that resists all efforts through diet and exercise. While this may not move the numbers on the scale, fat reduction treatments will visibly contour the body and minimize problem areas by reducing the actual number of fat cells in the treatment area.
Painless, needle-less, with zero downtown. I spoke to a patient who was getting this treatment during the event. In response to the CoolSculpting tool that was sucking her stomach like a vacuum, she said, “It’s pressure. I feel it on there, but it’s not pain.” She went and played a tennis match within and hour after completing the treatment.
Areas CoolSculpting works:
- Under the Chin
- Bra Bulge
- Love Handles
- Inner Thighs
- Outer Thighs
Botox & Fillers – Juvederm XC (botox) and Juvederm Voluma (fillers): Let’s face it. As we age, our skin depletes from its natural volume, which is especially true for sun-lovers. These FDA-approved formulations are all-natural products made of ingredients even found in our own bodies. The injectable gels plump the skin to restore lost volume and smooth away facial wrinkles and folds.
What’s the difference between the two? Botox helps smooth lines in the forehead and crows feet by relaxing the muscles that make dynamic imprinted lines over time. Filler like Juvederm and Voluma help correct deeper lines in the nasal folds and lower face by restoring volume loss, and last up to 2 years.
HydraFacial MD: Leaves skin looking smooth, clear and evenly-toned without irritation or redness, unlike traditional facial treatments like microdermabrasion and peels. Non-surgical, quick and no downtime – you’ll be able to go to an event within minutes after treatment.
I had Loren James, the HydraFacial MD rep try the product out on the back of one of my hands, which took only a couple of minutes. The results: a brighter, softer and smoother look and feel. I asked him to tell me how the product works, and he said, “It uses a serum to dissolve dead skin and an exfoliating tip to claim the dead skin. Then, a vacuum and other serums to do automatic extractions. Lastly, the skin is infused with moisturizers and antioxidants.”
Hormore implants – BioTE: Balanced hormones are essential for good health and disease prevention as we age. BioTE optimizes hormone levels with the insertion of tiny pellets just under the skin. These hormone pellets release all-natural, bio-identical estrogen and/or testosterone which is metabolized consistently into the body as needed.
Did you know?
- Hormone pellets have been in use since 1939.
- After the age of 30, most people produce 3-10% less hormones each year.
- Testosterone pellets can build up to 8.3% bone mass each year.
Skincare – PCA Skin: Dr. Bates’ office carries all kinds of PCA Skin skincare lines including those for acne, discoloration and aging.
