Lunch and Learn: Elder Law

One guarantee in life is that we’ll all get older. Every one knows some one who is an elder, whether it be a parent, grandparent, coworker or family friend.

One guarantee in life is that we’ll all get older.

Every one knows some one who is an elder, whether it be a parent, grandparent, coworker or family friend. And those who are older should be prepared and knowledgeable on anything that the future holds.

Lori Leu, Certified Elder Law Attorney, is a guest speaker on behalf of Harbor Chase assisted living and memory care facility at an informative lunch at Capitol Grille on Thursday, February 11 from 12–1 p.m. She will discuss legal issues affecting seniors and long-term planning, from simple wills to more complicated estate planning, financing of long-term care, including Medicaid eligibility, Veteran’s benefits, advanced directives, guardianships, probate and estate administration.

Lunch includes pan-fried calamari with peppers, a choice between three entrees (The Grille’s signature cheeseburger with Parmesan truffle fries, caesar salad with chicken breast, or Mediterranean salad with shrimp) and a dessert of either flour-less chocolate espresso cake or creme brûlée.

*Limited seats are available.* Make sure to reserve a seat for you and an older loved one or friend.
