The Samanatha Schmidt HeARTs for ART Benefit was founded in 2012 in support of Samantha Schimdt, at that time fighting her own battle with leukemia. Samantha named the event herself and when asked what she wanted the proceeds to go toward, without any question, she said, “Leukemia, so other kids don’t get sick.”

Four years after her passing, the legacy of Samantha Schmidt lives on as her community continue the fight she started, the fight against pediatric leukemia—raising funds, “so other kids don’t get sick.”
