Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony

Help Mayor Loughmiller, city officials, and the Children’s Chorus of Collin County kick off the Christmas season with the City of McKinney’s Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony.

When: Friday, November 27 at 6:15 p.m.

Where: McKinney Performing Arts Center (MPAC) lawn on the Kentucky Street side

Holiday Laser Light Show

Experience a holiday laser light show.

When: Friday, November 27 at 6:15 p.m. following the tree lighting ceremony at 6:15 p.m., and Saturday, November 28 at 6:15 p.m.

Where: West side of the McKinney Performing Arts Center (MPAC) on Kentucky Street

Historic Downtown Tours

Throughout the weekend, families can enjoy scenic tours through historic downtown and the surrounding historic district with festive covered tractor rides provided by Local Yocal Farm to Market.

Free Live Holiday Entertainment

Enjoy live music in the heart of Downtown McKinney on Virginia Street. Acts include hometown favorites as well as top recognized bands.

Professional Photos with Santa Claus

Bring the little ones and get your photos professionally made with Santa Claus by Azure Photography.

When:

•  Friday, November 27, 10 a.m.–8 p.m.

•  Saturday, November 28, 10 a.m.–8 p.m.

•  Sunday, November 29, noon–5 p.m.

Where: On East Virginia St. in Santa’s Village

Mrs. Claus’ Living Room

Children can visit Mrs. Claus’ living room on Tennessee Street, where she will host several holiday storytimes. Parents can take photos of their children with Mrs. Claus for free.

Snow Hill and Snow Yard

If kids prefer chillier activities, they can head to the snow hill and snow yard located on East Louisiana Street.

Beer Garden and Live Football

Those who like to relax and watch football on Thanksgiving weekend can stroll to the beer garden on South Tennessee Street, which will serve ice-cold, holiday-blend brews from local McKinney breweries. Televisions will be set up showing the biggest football games of the day.

McKinney Repertory Theatre Presents A Christmas Carol

Bring your entire family and enjoy MRT’s production of Dickens’ timeless story. This adaptation of the enduring classic places special emphasis on the ghostly apparitions in the spirit of Dickens’ original text, and is full of Victorian songs accompanied by music on the vintage theater pipe organ.

•  Friday, November 27, 2 p.m. and 5 p.m.

•  Saturday, November 28, 2 p.m. and 5 p.m.

•  Sunday, November 29, 1 p.m.

Believe! 2015

Run or walk for charity and join us back at the square for the awards ceremony. Afterwards, have breakfast at one of McKinney’s unique restaurants, then do some shopping at the many unique shops on the square.

When: Saturday, November 28, 8 a.m.

Where: Mitchell Park, one block west of the square
