The Snow Queen

The Snow Queen is a fairy tale written by Danish author Hans Christian Andersen (1805–1875). The story, published in 1845, is a sweet love story that focuses on the struggle between good and evil and is set in a winter wonderland.

The stage of the Bank of America Theater will be transformed into a blustering, beautiful wintry enchantment with gorgeous sets and snowflakes galore.

Tickets are only $15 and available online at eisemanncenter.com. All ages are welcome for a magical evening of holiday spirit.

This year’s Snow Queen ballet features Hannah Early (Plano West Senior High) as the Snow Queen, Samantha Hebert (Renner Middle School) as Gerda, Tanner Murray (PACE University) as Kae, Claire Walls (Haggard Middle School) as the Indian Princess, Jordan Sullivan (Renner Middle School) as the Magician, Jacqueline Burak (Southern Methodist University) as the Royal Princess, and Brendon Fredericks (Dance Company of Wylie) as the Royal Prince. Sixty more students will perform in the show in addition to over 20 staff, parents and community members.

“My students love to dance and it shows in their performances. I love that this performance gives our students an extra chance to shine on stage in addition to their spring recital. Our competition dancers also enjoy the opportunity to perfect their technique by performing in this ballet,” stated Brenda Wilder, Studio 3 owner and director.
