The Lions Clubs of Plano will hold their 43rd Annual Christmas Parade and Breakfast with Santa on Saturday, December 12. It’s a full morning of holiday activities…and we do mean full, since things kick off with an all-you-can-eat Pancake Feed before the parade.

ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT PANCAKE FEED

Early birds won’t want to miss the annual Breakfast with Santa at Vines High School, located at 1401 Highedge Dr. next to the PISD administration building on 15th Street. Hosted by First Methodist Men from First Church Plano and sponsored by King Aerospace, Inc., the breakfast will start at 6:30 a.m. in the Vines cafeteria and will feature all-you-can-eat Hungry Jack pancakes. For just a few bucks, chow down on all the pancakes you want, along with two Owens sausage patties and one drink (Mother Parker’s coffee or Borden milk or juice).

Adults are $5; children under 12 are $4. Half the proceeds will benefit Plano Food Pantry and God’s Food Pantry. Save a dollar per ticket for every two canned goods you bring for donation. Not as hungry? Dollar items will include coffee, breakfast tacos, donuts, milk, juice and bottled water, available inside the cafeteria and on carts outside.

Before you head out for the parade, don’t forget to have a free photo taken with Santa—for kids of all ages!

ANNUAL CHRISTMAS PARADE

The year’s parade theme is A Teacher’s Christmas Wish. Stake out a spot along the parade route to enjoy Plano ISD high-school marching bands and drill teams, cheerleaders, JROTC, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, YMCA Guides/Princesses, decorated floats, and a variety of participants spreading cheer—including Santa Claus himself! Expect to see well over 100 entrants in this year’s parade.

The parade will emerge from the parking lot of the Plano ISD administration building at 15th Street and Mill Valley Drive. It will travel west on 15th, then north on Independence Parkway, then east on Parkhaven Drive, ending in the parking lot of Plano Senior High School. There are plenty of great spots along the route to plant yourself and your family! Feel free to bring blankets or lawn chairs.
