Andrews Elementary School kicked off Red Ribbon Week with an exhilarating balloon launch outside the school Monday, October 26. Red Ribbon week is a nationally celebrated campaign from October 23–31 where kids proclaim, “We are Proud to be Drug Free.” Students recited their drug-free pledges and released their balloons in the air as a symbol of their commitment to remain drug free.
Plano ISD campuses will offer several learning activities now through October 31, including themed dress days and all-school assemblies to heighten student awareness of the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse.
