Under the leadership of coaches John Clark and Tom Gray, the 1965 Plano High School varsity team was the district’s first integrated team and the first to win a state championship. This week that same team, and the Plano High School class of 1965, will be commemorating “Five Decades of the Winning Tradition” during this week’s homecoming festivities.

Festivities already started on Wednesday October 14 with the Homecoming Parade featuring the Plano High School class of 1965 and varsity team members; students; staff; alumni, as well as the Plano Senior High community.

Tonight celebrations continue with the Homecoming Game; Plano Senior High v. McKinney Boyd at 7:30pm. Members of the 1965 Plano High School state champion team will be recognized on the field during a Pre-Game Show at 7pm. Meanwhile the Plano ISD Alumni Association is hosting a Tailgate Party right outside of Clark Stadium before the game.

This Homecoming Game and commemoration of “Five Decades of the Winning Tradition” will be held at Plano ISD’s John Clark Stadium, 6600 Stadium Drive, Plano, TX 75023.

Look’s like it’s going to be a fun night!
