The 2015 Blue Moon Gala benefiting City House took place at the Embassy Suites Hotel & Conference Center in Frisco. City House’s primary fundraiser of the year, generous friends, sponsors and guests raised significant and needed funds to help the organization serve local youth who are at risk due to abuse, neglect or homelessness.

Embracing the vintage theme, 820 guests, turned out in support of City House and raised a grand total of $470,000 – a testament to the spirit and generosity of our community.

Upon arrival guests enjoyed a complimentary Blue Moon Cocktail courtesy of Skyy Vodka, could participate in a golf putting game on “The Only Green” custom putting green, a vodka ring toss game, and a fun photo booth. Guests also got the chance to see several of Sam Pack’s personal collection of vintage cars that are as rare as they come among car collectors.

Both the live and silent auctions featured hundreds of great items including a private dinner for 10 at Iron Chef winner Kent Rathbun’s home, trips to Cozumel, Mexico, the Texas wine country, France, an exclusive trip to Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, dinner for 20 at Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse, and a brunch package for 30 to Del Frisco’s Grille, among others.

Rudy & Christina Andrea were honored with the second annual Invisible Thread Award for community service, as their work through the Andrea-Mennen Family Foundation helps local children’s causes throughout Collin County and North Texas. Andrea made a pledge of $25,000 to City House, which will go directly to family counseling and youth services.

Following a fabulous dinner, the evening continued with a live performance from Sha Na Na, an American rock and roll group who played the role of Johnny Casino and the Gamblers in Grease, the movie.

Del Frisco’s Restaurant group served as presenting sponsor of the gala, with gold sponsors AdvoCare, Park Place Lexus Plano, Sam Pack’s Five-Star Ford, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Roy & Susie Barber. The gathering was also sponsored by Plano Profile magazine as media sponsor.

It was a fabulous evening for an even more fabulous cause.
