A Masquerade Ball to help keep kids drug free

According to the Jim Utley Foundation, “The simple, ‘don’t do drugs,’ talks of the past no longer work.” Which is why the foundation is working to educate children of all ages and their parents about the dangers of drugs.

According to the Jim Utley Foundation, “The simple, ‘don’t do drugs,’ talks of the past no longer work.” Which is why the foundation is working to educate children of all ages and their parents about the dangers of drugs.

“Kids who are armed with facts and have regular discussions with parents about the dangers of drugs are 42% less likely to try street drugs.” Explains the foundation, who empowers teens and preteens to lead drug-free lives.

The Jim Utley Foundation invites you to join their fight to keep kids drug free at their Masquerade Ball on Friday October 23rd. The celebration taking place at 34Events (1017 E 15th Street), will include cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, dancing, live music and an auction. The dress code is Uptown Funk or Dressy Casual with Mask, tickets are already on sale at US$125 per person.

Money raised by this evening gala will support the new, Jim Utley Foundation scholarship fund of 2016, which will provide a means for young adults to attend college after rehab or drug counseling who might not be able to go otherwise or to help pay partly or in full for rehab or drug related counseling where insurance will not cover treatment.
