The American Planning Association (APA) today named Historic Downtown Plano one of four Great Neighborhoods on the organization’s annual Great Places in America list.

Historic Downtown Plano becomes only the second North Texas area to make the coveted list since its inception in 2007!

Historic Downtown Plano includes the area bounded by Avenue G, 18th St., 14th St., and Municipal Avenue, and is located East of 75th, Exit 15th St. This quaint and growing area includes unique shops, casual and fine dining, and an assortment of attractions – including Art Galleries, Performance Art Theaters, and the Interurban Railway Museum.

The popular restaurants of Downtown Plano include Lockhart’s Smokehouse, Angela’s on the Crosswalk, Vikery Park Bar, Plano Tortilla Factory and Cafe, Urban Crust, Urban Rio, Jorgs Cafe Vienna, Amazeballz Cake Balls, Fourteen Eighteen Coffee House, Cajun Tailgators, Brix Bar and Grill and Kelly’s Eastside.
